at LONGEVITY FEST - 2nd Edition

Great success Saturday, August 31, 2023 in Porto Cervo Marina for the second edition of the Longevity Fest organized as part of
regional marketing program "INSULA - Sardinia Quality World", promoted
the Department of Tourism, Crafts and Commerce of the Region of Sardinia and the CIPNES,
to tell and promote, through an experiential and identity path, the "Destination Sardinia".
During the event held in the Piazzetta della Marina, the discussion was conducted by Gianni Pes, founder of the Blue Zone, Craig Willcox
gerontologist and world-renowned expert on the longevity of Okinawa, and Giovanni Scapagnini,
Medical researcher associated with the blue zone.
The debate was moderated by journalist Eleonora Cozzella
who introduced the creator of the Longevity Fest, Pietro Mereu, a native of Lanusei.
The second edition of Longevity was opened by the screening of an excerpt of the documentary on the island
of Okinawa "Kentannos", directed by Victor Cruz and produced by Kino Productions.

The evening ended in the restaurant Insula in Porto Cervo marina with a tasting
Sardinian-Japanese preparations signed by the Insula chef Angelo Serra and Roberto Okabe.
