This, Contini's first organic wine, is good for nature and the palate. Red like a ladybird and unspoiled, like the land the vineyard lies in, it is the symbol of a great love for Sardinia. Its intense aroma is reminiscent of red fruits, fragrant and vinous like the sun as it rises above the vines. Its violet hues enhance its red colour and its smooth flavour rolls over the palate. It loves the strong flavours of first courses, meat and fish dishes.

Grape varieties: Cannonau from certified organic grapes

Production area: North Sardinia.

Altitude: Up to 200 metres above sea level.

Winemaking: Pressing, fermentation with maceration of the skins for 7 days

Appearance: Bright ruby with a violet hue.

Aroma: This fragrant red offers scents of red berry fruit such as raspberry and redcurrant and closes with powerful balsamic accents.

Palate: The easygoing palate of this Cannonau offers mouthwatering acidity alongside a saline note. Polished tannins and a delicate finish complete the picture.

Best served at: 13°-15° C

Serving suggestions: Pair this versatile red with cheese or meat based foods. We especially like it with Sardinian culurgiones dumplings in a fresh tomato sauce and basil.

Selenu is a Vermentino di Gallura Superiore DOCG obtained from pure Vermentino grapes. The grapes are picked at first light in the morning, still wet from the dew of the night. This gives it a pleasant freshness on the palate and an intense, floral bouquet. Excellent with fish dishes, white meats and fresh soft cheeses.
